Growing up in Minnesota meant cold winters and long months in between our visits to the local Dairy Queen. It was something I looked forward to all spring and once summer hit, we would head to DQ on our bikes and reward ourselves with a little treat.

When we visit my parents now during the summer, I’m not sure who gets more excited about the Dilly Bars that they keep stocked in the freezer but it’s something my son and I can now enjoy together.

Great memories are created over dessert and I’m looking forward to sharing a Dairy Queen treat with my son this summer after a day at the beach.

I’m also looking forward to viewing the video submissions for Dairy Queen’s new contest. They’re rewarding good deeds with an awesome giveaway.
